Moad Musbahi is an artist and curator whose work investigates migration as a method for cultural production and political expression, he focuses on the social practices and forms of knowledge that displacement engenders. He explores this through video works, exhibition-making and writing. During his residency, Musbahi is proposing to develop his ongoing research on the relationship between death and travel, their associated cultural infrastructure and the social rituals, with a focus on the ‘zawiya/madrasa’, an architecture of hospitality that provides care for travellers and pilgrims.
