Explore a part of the Changi coast through found colours, material textures, and how that process can lend itself to new possibilities for artmaking!
In this creative workshop with Wild Dot, participants will be guided to make some inks and paints from pigments they notice on-site and document the process in the form of a mini zine. Wild Dot is an ink-making studio that makes paints and artworks with locally found and grown plant pigments.
Held in conjunction with the exhibition Simryn Gill and Charles Lim Yi Yong: The Sea is a Field, this workshop invites participants to learn the art of ink-making using plant species found at reclaimed areas in Changi.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Be introduced to some inks and pigments found along the coast;
- Make own inks from plants and other found objects at the site;
- Take home their very own mini zine to document their foraged colours.
