In this recital series, Mang Emo + Mag-himo Grand Piano Project by artist Alwin Reamillo comes alive with chosen melodies that resonate with the artwork's profound themes.

This session will feature Joshua German, an ART:DIS artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This programme is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Talking Objects. Talking Objects is presented in parallel with The Living Room in the Collection Gallery. Together, the two exhibitions invite reflection on how art is experienced, interpreted, and carried through time and space.

About Joshua German
Joshua German is an ART:DIS pianist with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He started tinkling on the ivories early, discovering he could recreate "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on the family piano when he was about 3 years old. Struggling to cope in a neurotypical world, he started taking formal piano lessons at age 15 where his teacher noticed his penchant for changing and adding extra notes. This led to him branching into jazz piano at age 22. Today, Joshua enjoys entertaining others with his music and hopes to become a professional musician someday.

Joshua is also a proud recipient of the 2019 Goh Chok Tong Enable Awards (UBS Promise), which celebrated talented and skilled people with various disabilities.
