JOB TITLE: Manager/Production Management

REPORTING TO: Senior Manager/Production Management

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


     

    • Provide guidance for Production Management team
    • Develop and implement all aspects of planning and operations relating to the realisation of exhibitions and other projects, as well as the care of artwork collections
    • Organise and develop a full project life cycle plan for all production management activities, including workflow, budget & costs management, timeline setting, project administration and exhibition set up and maintenance, logistics, design, fabrication and artwork/project installation for local and travelling exhibitions/projects
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
    • Analysing and managing project risks, monitoring progress and taking corrective measures
    • Accountable for tracking the physical presence of artworks for exhibitions
    • Ensure project processes always comply with organisation policies
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Responsible for the day to day maintenance of museum displays
    • Manage physical facilities for exhibitions and projects, including gallery spaces, art handling areas and exhibition stores
    • Review and keep up with current trends and best practices that may have an impact on exhibition/project planning, logistics and museum management issues
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal resourcing, working relationships and fostering key networks
    • Apply and enforce workplace safety measurements at worksites
    • Seek and identify opportunities for new initiatives/sponsorships
    • Handle ad-hoc assignments when required


    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • An individual with at least five years’ work experience in a related field – exhibitionary/artistic presentations or a cultural institution 
    • Keen interest in contemporary art or related fields 
    • Good project management and organisational skills
    • A team player with initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Detail oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Competencies in other complementary software is an advantage, eg Adobe photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc
    • Versatility and eagerness to pick up various technologies relevant to artwork presentations/visual displays is an asset
