SAM is committed to making contemporary art accessible and inspiring for everyone. We are currently seeking to fill a 6 month contract for the role of Senior Manager, Programmes. The role will support the Education, Access and Programmes team in the delivery of immersive and inclusive experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Curate engaging programmes that can reach a broad range of audiences, including youth, children, families, seniors, and community groups

Continued commitment to public programmes and building partnerships

Manage budgets, and supervise staff, interns and/or volunteers

Ongoing development of inclusive content for SAM for online and onsite audiences, including administrative support

Work with external and internal stakeholders (eg. curatorial, marketing and partnerships) to afford access and develop learning opportunities for the appreciation of contemporary art

Support marketing and audience development activity for Education, Access & Programmes

Any ad hoc duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 8 years of experience in the museum, arts and heritage sector or equivalent

Experience designing and coordinating programmes, in particular programs for a range of audiences

Degree in Museum Studies or a related qualification

Excellent project management skills
-
Excellent record of stakeholder management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication skills

Effective time management and organisational skills, and the ability to exercise initiative

A good level of computer literacy with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Curatorial experience
- Volunteer Management
- Knowledge of ITQ, direct contracts, etc
