Passage Moist Beings reflects on a simple practice of care cultivated over time. It documents the artist habitually lifting snails that she encounters along walking paths and moving them out of harm’s way. Her consideration for these delicate yet resilient creatures serves as a reminder of how we may care for other non-human beings. This work expands Yeyoon Avis Ann’s explorations of how art-making can originate from and flow through everyday phenomena as she samples and repurposes them into assorted possibilities.
